Costume Institute Gala Benefit (The Met Ball) fashion frenzy!

The Met Ball, one of New Yorks biggest social events of the year, took place last night. The Costume Institute Gala Benefit this year celebrated the opening of the ‘American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity’ exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The stars were out in their droves to parade their gowns. Some even came to parade their men – Sienna Millar, I’m looking at you! Of course no-shows are just as important – where was Victoria Beckham, the Olsens and Lady Gaga many asked! Regardless, the majority of people looked beautiful as expected. My favourite was  Rosie Huntington Whiteley in Burberry – I would kill to look like this girl! See my other picks after the jump….

Kate Bosworth in Valentino

Alexa Chung in Philip Lim

Blake Lively in Marchesa

Emma Watson in Burberry

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad

Nicole Richie in Marc Jacobs

Renee Zellwegger in Carolina Herrera

Sienna Miller in Emilio Pucci

Sarah Jessica Parker in Halston

Emmy Rossum in Kenneth Cole

Emilie de Ravin in Valentino

Jessica Stam in Rachel Roy

Rachel Bilson in Louis Vuitton

  1. Oh I never saw the pics of Rosie HW and Alexa Chung. I am in love with Burberry! Both Emma’s and Rosie’s dresses are gorgeous!!

  2. I really like it when you represent diverse people on your blog.

I’m always so afraid you’ll just showcase the fashionistas and forget about the true gems.

This shot is very inspiring! Thank you!
