One thing I miss about living abroad is the amount of variety I had on any given night out. I find that in Dublin, most of the club nights are more of the same, and anything that’s slightly off centre rarely gets the attention it deserves. With that in mind, when I received some PR into my inbox this week about Dublin’s newest club night, I had to write a post on it! The fact that the night is centred on beauty, fashion and music was an added sell.
Starting this Thursday in Dakota bar on South William Street in Dublin, is a new club night with a difference. The Beauty Spot, taking place every Thursday from 7pm – 1am, and with free admission, will incorporate fashion, beauty, shopping and drinks in association with Style Nation and sponsored by Smirnoff. The night will have a different theme and treatments every week, kicking off with nails tomorrow.
The Beauty Spot will have beauty tips and advice given by top make-up artists and hair stylists, alongside ‘Pop-up Shops’ hosting vintage & contemporary fashion and accessories. Music will be provided by DJ Conor Behan who plays an upbeat mix of pop, disco, R&B, kitsch and retro favourites. Regular guest DJs from the world of fashion and style will also take part in the up-coming nights. Did I mention the cocktails from €5?!
So if you like perfect manicures and dirty martini’s this is the place for you on Thursday nights! Upcoming Themes at the Beauty Spot include Lashes, Sex & the City 2, Lips, Perfume, Burlesque, Eyes, Vintage Fashion, Cheeks, Rock N Roll, Hair, and Icons.
See you there!
