Gossip Girl Season 5 fashion

I’m already excited for the return of Gossip Girl in late September! Of course, it left us with one of the biggest cliffhangers of the series so far with the ‘who could be pregnant’ moment. I don’t have the answer for that but I have found out a little about what to expect in season 5. Stop reading now if you don’t want to know!!!

  • Well to begin with Eric Van Der Woodsen has left Gossip Girl for good. Vanessa’s role is being phased out, and we probably wont be seeing much of Jenny Humphries either.
  • Serena’s ‘cousin’ Charlie is back so this could be an interesting storyline.
  • New characters include Prince Louis’ sister who is none to happy about the upcoming nuptials, a priest from Monaco, and Liz Hurley as a wealthy media mogul (who has a thing for Nate).
  • There’s also a chef called Max who seems to have some Serena interactions.
  • With the pregnancy storyline, all I know is that it’s not Dorota who is with child!
  • The CW have commissioned 2 more episodes per season meaning there will be 24 episodes from now on…

In comparison to other years, on set pics for season 5 have been few and far between. I’ve included the ones I found but have very little details about the actual outfits so I’ll update the post when I find out more… My first impressions are that Blair is really coming into her own in the fashion stakes, and Serena is still working that glam boho look she pulls off so exceptionally! Cannes Film Festival round-up

Ah Cannes… 10 years ago I was there, soaking up some rays on the beach, looking at all the beautiful people, paying through the nose for a simple black coffee… Great memories!!! In all seriousness though, I love Cannes – and I love love love Cannes Film Festival! Between the actual premieres for the movies, the press conferences, the photo calls, the charity events, the fashion shows, the after parties and the general hanging about, there’s always something to do at this festival. But more importantly for us, there’s always someone to look at! …make it a blazer! Ah the trusty blazer… Is there any girl left that doesn’t own one? Probably not, because a blazer is one of the most useful, handy and versatile pieces in most girl’s wardrobes! From what I can see in the upcoming seasons trends, a blazer won’t be out of fashion so buy now, wear often :-) I think if I had to choose just one type of cover-up to use for the rest of my life, my battered black blazer would be it. Or maybe my cream one with the shoulders. Or my grey one with the cropped sleeves… Hmm….

Gossip Girl’s new season fashions

The best thing about being post-op is the amount of downtime the doc tells you to take! Right now I’m on day 3 of recovery and a couple more weeks of that will be spent on the couch. This means I get to catch up on lots of TV I’ve missed (Gossip Girl, True Blood, BNTM) and start obsessing over new TV (Pretty Little Liars, Pretty Wild). Of course it also means I have plenty of chance to read magazines, papers and blogs – right now I feel very up to date with the world! Over the last week or so, blogs have been awash with images of everyone’s favourtie Gossip Girls, Serena and Blair, in Paris and New York as they film the new season of the hit series. I’ve picked out some of the clothes you can look forward to seeing on your TV screen later this year and posted them here – let me know what you think. Without a doubt, my dream job would be to just hang out in the Gossip Girl closet putting the clothes back on hangers and staring at all the pretty colours and fabrics… Or maybe I could be Nate’s head massage girl…

A/W Couture fashion week, Paris – the attendees

Its July – its Paris – packed full of celebrities and models… It can only mean one thing – The Autumn/Winter Haute Couture collections are on show! I think when it comes to fashion my absolute favourite collections are the A/W ones – the colours, the creativity and the inspiration are always appealing to me. With this in mind, I hope to do a post over the weekend on the actual collection at the shows this week (in the meantime you should check out what Emma of ‘Elle of the Ball’ had to say on the shows here!). This little post however, is my pick of the bunch when it came to who attended the shows, and who did it best!
